Second Grade had their "Parents and Pumpkins" literacy night.  The children whose names were drawn, picked a pumpkin to take home.

The Parenting With Love & Logic course is designed to help parents practice effective parenting without the power struggles.  Parenting with Love & Logic teaches parents and children to accept natural consequences and reach a win/win agreement.  

The course length is 4 weeks.  Please pre-register with a secretary listed on the link to ensure placement.

Once a month half of the first graders go to Mr. Ekker’s and Mrs. Hogan’s room for dance instruction.

Red Ribbon Week will be Monday, October 28 - Friday, November 1. The 2013-2014 Red Ribbon theme will be "DRUGS ARE SCARY".  You can show your Red Ribbon spirit by participating in the daily events listed below.

During our First grade literacy night, parents came to the school with their student and learned about writing, technology in reading, and reading instruction.

There are many reasons we hold literacy night.  A few of those reasons are listed below.

1. To inform parents of ways to help their students at home, which is supportive of the teachers.
2. To strengthen the relationship between parent and student.
3. To strengthen parent and teacher relations.
4. To strengthen community/school relations.
