HOBBIES/INTERESTS

I love taking photographs.  I volunteer to take pictures at various events and have been to lots of fun things such as Fantasy Con and Steampunk Fest as well as being able to photograph behind the scenes at LDS church venues.  Mr. Greer and I also are often asked to take photos at concerts and we have the opportunity to meet some fascinating celebrities.  It’s really fun to have an All Access Pass and get to see what goes on behind the stage.

First thing Wednesday morning, the students quietly walked to the gym where they found classmates dressed in their Cub Scout and Scout uniforms.  These boys stood at attention down the center of the gym as the student body found their seats.

These boys then led the school in the pledge of allegiance.  A video of our armed services, with the song "I'm Proud to Be an American", was shown in honor of those who have served our country so that we may be free.

The students then paid tribute to our honored guests as the theme of each anthem of the military service was played.

We appreciate those who have served and those who are serving to help our country and other countries enjoy freedom.

Ms. B taught the art students about Picasso and his style of art.  Then they created art, like Picasso.  Mr. Griffith's and Mrs. Greer's class created art with recycled, metal products.  Mr. D's, Mrs. Smith's, and Mrs. Tolman's class made pictures.

Pretty, amazing, scary, gross, and creative sums up the costumes at Santaquin Elementary today. Every year the teachers and children's costumes are amazing. We had a great turn out for the parade. Thanks for all the support. Today was a great way to end our Red Ribbon week. Thanks for all the spare change donations, and supporting your kids as they dressed up every day this week!

The 2015-16 Reflections theme was "Let Your Imagination Fly".  Many students participated, letting their imaginations fly as they took pictures, wrote stories, drew pictures, and more.  Thanks to the students who participated, and a HUGE thank you to the PTA for all their time in making this event happen.

The students and faculty all came to school Monday morning dressed in red to support Red Ribbon week which means we want to be drug free.  We all received a smartie and a bookmark that reads, "Too Smart to Start!"

We also had an amazing assembly.  The Rocky Mountain Magician, Theron Milo, came with his assistant, Kate, and entertained us with some amazing magic tricks.  He taught us a saying, "The best me is drug free."
