Mr. Argyle and Mr. Kern stole the show during the assembly as they competed to knock down the most water bottles with their potato-filled nylon hat.  Mr. Argyle won the water bottle contest, but Mr. Kern was pretty stylish with his stocking hat and googly goggles.

The students at Santaquin Elementary came to school Monday, March 3, wearing hats of all differents colors, shapes, and sizes.  They met in the gymnasium for a "Minute To Win It" assembly.  The teachers from each grade level participated in a different activity with their students cheering them on.

Thanks to Mrs. Craig and all those who helped her for a great assembly.

Valentine's Day

What does one heart say to another heart?  "I lub-dub you."  This joke was given by a student in a First Grade class.  All month the students have been bringing in jokes to use during their writer's workshop.  The teacher writes the joke on the board with errors, and the students write the joke correctly in their writing book.

Students also celebrated Valentine's Day by decorating sugar cookies, making crafts, playing games, and exchanging Valentines in boxes they designed.

There is a mandatory parent meeting Wednesday, April 16 at 7 p.m. in the Payson Junior High Auditorium.  This meeting is for new band/orchestra students only.
