Mrs. Snelgrove’s class donates trees and meals through UNICEF

Submitted by shawnee.mcmullin on

Every day students in Mrs. Snelgrove’s class dance, exercise, and do yoga with UNICEF Kids Power-ups. These activities get their bodies moving while giving the students the opportunity to make an impact locally and globally. They earn points to provide Ready to Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF) packets for impoverished children in other countries. RUTF is made of peanuts and nutrients that help these children get healthy. These students also make a positive impact locally. They collect power coins for each activity.

Virtual Field Trip

Submitted by shawnee.mcmullin on

Mrs. Snelgrove’s third grade class has a remote field trip to Springville Museum of Art. They analyzed and compared two pieces of art. Then they worked with the instructor to create gesture drawings. It was lots of fun to learn how to create quick drawings of people that showed movement.
