We had a school-wide goal for each class to read a minimum of 3,000 minutes and our students CRUSHED that goal!

The office staff’s hair color was on the line and they all showed up with colorful hair to reward the kiddos for the amazing job they did. The kids were SO EXCITED to see their hard work pay off!

Students participate in the assembly
1st and 2nd grade students enjoy the assembly
3rd 4th and 5th grade students listening to the guest speaker

Santaquin students learned all about how to stay safe on the internet by following these rules:

1. Tell a trusted adult if anything on your screen makes you feel sad, scared or confused.

2. Ask a trusted adult before sharing private information. (Full name, address, phone number, etc)

3. Never meet face to face with someone you chatted with on the internet.

4. Have balanced between online and offline activities.

5. Be kind online. Treat others online with respect and kindness.

The NetSmart assembly is always a favorite and we’re so glad to have them come and teach us these important lessons to keep us safe!

Science Eyes

Submitted by misty.rindlisbacher on
1st graders with science glasses on

Mrs. Sumens' first graders have been learning about scientists. Today they asked the important question, "How do scientists know so much?" They learned that scientists observe closely and ask lots of questions. They read, "The Looking Book" and put on their own pair of "lookers" to make close observations around the classroom. These first graders are great observers and full of curiosity. They are going to make super scientists!
