On Friday Miss North's students were able to have some fifth graders join their class and do buddy readers!

"With Dr. Seuss week, our Fifth grade friends have been practicing reading Dr. Seuss books and they came in and shared their favorites with our class!  It was awesome and we can't wait until next Friday for them to come in again!  Thank you Mrs. Harward's class for sharing your favorite Dr. Seuss books with us!"

Look what happened around our school! Several doors have sayings on them to help us think positively.  Thank you to Brooke Russell and Sydney Astle for painting them. These make everyone so happy every time they walk by!

We had a blast celebrating Dr. Seuss Week at Santaquin Elementary!  Students and faculty wore crazy socks, stripes, their favorite colors, pajamas, and did all kinds of fun activities that also incorporated learning cool new things and reinforcing things they've been learning as well!  We had a school-wide cookie decorating activity, lots of reading, and the halls were decorated with amazing Seuss characters and scenes.  Mr. Richins read to every single class - you should hear how fast he can go!

Starting tomorrow, Tuesday March 1, we have lots of fun activities planned for Read Across America Week, also known as Dr. Seuss Week!  Each day, the students, faculty, and staff and encouraged to come dressed up.  Check out the details!

Our Kindergarten friends have been learning to draw hearts, HAPPY HEARTS!  

Some of the kiddos even exchanged them as valentines and others were so excited to take them home as decorations!

Mrs. Barnum's students made gumball machines that said I "chews" self love and they wrote 5 things they love about themselves! 

They also made their very own Love Monsters like the book! 

For Fun Friday,  they put together puzzles, built things with magnets, and got on Raz Kids! 

These students love all of the fun activities Mrs. Barnum plans for them each day!

4th Grade Puppet Show

The 4th graders did such a great job on their research and presentation!

4th graders from Mrs. Zaugg’s class visited Mrs. McMullin’s first graders to put on some plays! The plays were all about native Utah animals, their characteristics and habitats! Our class was so excited because we are starting our own animal reports! The first graders were so impressed with all the research and detail put into the plays and backdrops. Thank you for teaching and inspiring us 4th grade!
