The kindergarteners in Mrs. Holt’s class were engineers on Friday.  Their assignment was to design a solution for their monster to be protected from the weather.  They drew ideas and built a structure to protect their monster. Their ideas were phenomenal!!!

Mrs. Barnum’s and Mrs. McMullin’s classes earned a pizza party! When students go to specialty classes they earn a score for listening, participation, and respect. It takes everyone working together and doing their best. Both classes each earned ten high scores at specialties over the last few weeks! It was so fun seeing students from both classes encourage and cheer for each other in Art, PE, Library, and Computers.

We had an amazing assembly last week with Jazz Swings!  This fun group of musicians taught us all about the different instruments they play, the difference between music genres, and played some new to us songs and songs we all could sing along to.  It was a great time!

Just Jumpin Jump Rope Team

The Just Jumpin’ jump rope team braved the snow to come perform for us at Santaquin Elementary. Our students absolutely loved seeing this group of talented athletes! They also loved watching some of their students and classmates get involved in the jump rope skills.

Just Jumpin’ left us with some great thoughts about how it’s okay to make mistakes as long as we keep trying and to get out and stay active.

Thank you Just Jumpin’ for a great assembly!

Regular Schedule Monday, March 6, 2023

Submitted by misty.rindlisbacher on
Nebo Logo

All Nebo schools will be open on the regular schedule for Monday, March 6, 2023. We truly appreciate the city, county, state, and district personnel for their diligent work in our recent storm across our district. Please remember that school closures are rare. In most cases, school will remain in session even with Utah's climate. Because weather conditions may vary greatly in different neighborhoods and on different streets, we encourage parents to make attendance decisions for their own students.

Unfortunately, experience has taught us that there is no single decision that will accommodate the desires of every patron and employee. That being the case, Nebo District is supportive of individual decisions regarding safe travel during inclement weather. Please evaluate your individual situation regarding travel to school. The option to keep children home when weather conditions are severe is always at the parents’ discretion and schools have been asked to respect and honor parent decisions. Make-up schoolwork may be necessary, but schools will accommodate students on the timely completion of required assignments or tests.

To see more details on inclement weather, go to https://www.nebo.edu/schools/status.
