5th graders participated in our annual wax museum.  To prepare for the museum,  each student researches about the life of a historical figure. They gather and memorize facts and stories about a famous person and in essence become that person for a day.  Students are encouraged to come dressed as the person they represent and then present their character to other students and parents throughout the day.  Great Job 5th graders!

Students and guests particpated in a patriotic program learning the history of Veterans Day, and celebrating Veterans.  We had many Veterans who joined our program and were honored by being escorted by a student relative down a corridor of Cub Scouts from our school.  Over 30 of our own scouts were standing in uniform showing respect for the Veterans.  Each of the Veterans stood as their branch of the military was announced and all the students in the school sang the song, "Thank You Military" and "I'm Proud To Be An American". Throughout the rest of the day, you could hear children singing patriotic songs as you walked through the halls.  Each class in the school was also visited by a Veteran who talked about their service for our country.  From Santaquin Elementary,  we would like to say THANK YOU to our Veterans!  Veterans who participated were:

Santaquin School is planning a Veteran’s Day celebration on Friday, November 10th, as a way to teach students about Veteran’s Day and to honor veterans from our Santaquin community.

As part of our celebration, we would like to invite veterans who are family members or neighbors of Santaquin students and staff to come to the school at 9:05 AM that morning.

If you know of a veteran who would be willing to come to the school and participate in our celebration of veterans, please click on the link below. Fill out the information on the form and return it to the office.

We would also like to honor Santaquin family members currently serving in the military who might be deployed or serving away from home.
