Sean and Kristen, from Loveland Living Planet Aquarium teach the 4th grade students about the wetlands.  The students played a game to learn more about the wetlands.  They got to choose 1) Sounds 2) Mystery Box or 3) Picture.

The students' preferred choice was the "Mystery Box".  They put their hand in a black box and described to their classmates what they felt in the box which was mud, a snake skin, or cotton from willows.

The students also watched an active display of the wetlands to show how they help our environment.

Our 3rd - 6th grade students had the opportunity to design their own skateboards.  They used recycable items such as cardboard boxes and plastic water bottles to make these awesome looking skateboards.

The students in 2nd grade studied about Jellyfish in their Journey's book. To relate their informational text, each student wrote two facts on the back of a paper plate. That paper plate was then attached to another paper plate in which the center had been previously cut out and replaced with a clear material, making an aquarium. Inside the aquarium, the Jellyfish looked like they were swimming.
