The Grinch made his appearance and read to the students. It was an exciting week full of fun activities to help motivate students to read more. Thanks to all those who helped make it a success.

Once again Mr. Argyle encourages students to continue reading by celebrating their accomplishments. The students earn reading tickets each week when they read every day. The tickets are placed in a hopper and books, prizes, money and bikes are given away. The more tickets a student has in the hopper the better his chances are to win. Two more students won bikes. Congratulations Chloe Laursen and Ethan VonHoene!! KEEP READING EVERY DAY!!
Gary Hogg, author of many children’s books, spoke to the kindergarten, 1st, 2nd and 3rd graders at Santaquin Elementary. He talked to them about being ‘an author not just a kindergarten, 1st , 2nd, or 3rd grade writer.’ He told us exciting stories from his books and made sure every student understood they are an author by having them say…’I’m an author (pause for effect) TADA!!!!’
