Ms. Bever Fact Sheet

Ms. Bever comes from a family of five and has two brothers. She moved around a lot as a kid but she calls the Oregon Coast home. When she's not at school, you can find her at a sports game, a good concert, or spending time with her family and friends.  She is a massive NBA fan and also loves art and music.  Ms. Bever is incredible and has brought so much enthusiasm to Santaquin Elementary.  We're so happy she's here!

Santaquin Elementary just completed a six week residency with District Dance Specialist, Melanie Fillmore. Melanie is part of the Beverly Taylor Sorenson Arts Learning Program and is a member of the curriculum coaching staff. During her visit Melanie modeled for teachers the use of dance and movement as a teaching tool for core subjects in math, science, social studies, and literature. Melanie, classroom teachers, and students used dance to learn about everything from telling time to division to friendship and more. Check out some pictures and see what we’ve been up to!

The students loved seeing this turtle!

Second grade was lucky to have Hogle Zoo come and teach them about habitats and making observations.

They also drew our own zoo and measured how tall their animals were! It was such a fun experience!
