Lynn Smith moved to Santaquin in 1977 with her husband, and they moved into his family house. She served on the Zoning, Planning and Variance committee. She was on the Library board, and active in the Santaquin Theater. During this time she had eight children, attended UVU, and earned an associate’s degree. She worked part time for the Post Office for three years, and at the same time worked at Santaquin Elementary as a skills coach and office technician. She was hired as the full time secretary, and has held that position for the past 18 years. She has worked with principals Kim Barlow, Scott Carson, Rodger Bushman, Susan Huff, Rob Keddington, and Chad Argyle. She has enjoyed working at Santaquin Elementary School and getting to know many of Santaquin's families and loving their children. Lynn is dedicated to her work and truly wants the best for every person she helps on a daily basis. When she is not at the Elementary school, Lynn enjoys going for walks, four-wheeler rides, gardening, travelling and being with family. After raising 8 of her own children, Lynn now loves being Grandma to 20, soon to be 21 grandchildren. Grandma's house is the favorite place to be for all her sweet grandchildren. Lynn will both miss and be greatly missed at the Elementary School. Her family is excited to get more time with Grandma, and she is looking forward to spending more time with her husband, Dave.

Join us in celebrating the retirement of Lynn Smith at an open house held in her honor on Wednesday, May 17th from 3:30 to 5:00 at Santaquin Elementary school.
