What does one heart say to another heart?  "I lub-dub you."  This joke was given by a student in a First Grade class.  All month the students have been bringing in jokes to use during their writer's workshop.  The teacher writes the joke on the board with errors, and the students write the joke correctly in their writing book.

Students also celebrated Valentine's Day by decorating sugar cookies, making crafts, playing games, and exchanging Valentines in boxes they designed.

On February 13, 2014, Payson Junior High School Band and Orchestra students visited the 6th grade students at Santaquin Elementary.  They performed some fun songs for the 6th graders.  They invited any of them to sign up for band or orchestra for the next school year if they were interested.

There is a mandatory parent meeting Wednesday, April 16 at 7 p.m. in the Payson Junior High Auditorium.  This meeting is for new band/orchestra students only.

Our Kindergarten students celebrated 100 days of school on February 5. They came to school with 100 items on their shirts.  They celebrated by doing 100 jumping jacks, 100 hula hoops, 100 sit-ups, and many other activities that involved the number 100.

They even had a visit from Zero the Hero.  He brought snacks for the children in the shape of a "zero".  Those donuts were delicious!  Thanks Zero the Hero!
